Ctrip back in black

Nasdaq-listed Ctrip returned to black, thanks to its booming international business as China’s biggest online tourism platform speeds up on global expansion. In the third quarter of 2019, Shanghai-based Ctrip posted a net profit of 793 million yuan (US$113.2 million), compared with a loss of 1.1 billion yuan a year ago. Revenue totalled 10.5 billion yuan, up 21 percent year on year. By the latest quarter, Ctrip’s international business accounted for 35 percent of total income.
